On Friday June 23rd, nearly 100 supporters of Sail Nantasket turned out for the Sail Into Summer Soiree at BeachFire.  As advertised, all were treated to a spectacular blazing sunset with amazing views from the outdoor patios.  The Sailor's Sangria would have been the hit of the party if it wasn't for the 15-year old singer/guitarist/bassist/keyboard player for the band Larry's Closet who played great music for 3 hours including a nice encore set.  Most were dancing and no one wanted the party to end.  At the end of the evening, the generosity of our sponsors, donors and auction winners helped raise appoximately $4,000 to help Sail Nantasket continue in its mission to encourage and support sailing related programs.

A special thank you as well to Larry DeFranco and his staff at BeachFire Restaurant & Bar on Nantasket Beach for helping us put on such a wonderful event.  And a big shout out to the band Larry's Closet (no relation to Larry of BeachFire) for a tremendous show.  No doubt this band will be heavily courted for future events along the south shore.
